Kendrick Teases Us with Album Art

Kendrick Lamar has been subtly taking over my Twitter feed with small hints of his coming album, and with 13 days and counting left on the grid, he has made all of his fans feigning for more. After announcing the date of his album as March 23rd, today Kendrick also released possible cover artwork. With the hype slowly building of who will be featured, who are some of the producers, how much fire are we expecting; Kendrick is leaving us high and dry. Following 2012’s good kid, m.A.A.d city album, what we do know for sure is that we have seen Kendrick grow lyrically and after “The Blacker the Berry” he’s coming at us with a message.

Along with the above picture Kendrick posted on Instagram was this caption:

“Don’t all dogs go to heaven? Don’t Gangsta’s boogie? Do owl shit stank? Lions, Tigers & Bears. But TO PIMP A BUTTERFLY. Its the American dream nigga..” – lil Homie

And just like that we have the album title: To Pimp A Butterfly

  1. I’m not going to front: I saw this cover and was even more interested in the (then) upcoming release. I was also a bit confused, but this cover was a really great visual for the album. I always appreciate artists that put detail into every aspect of the album, from cover art to single to performances.
